Boolah turns nine months!

Yes we call him Blake-a-Boolah...I don't why, just go with it. So the little man turns nine months today! Craziness! He has mastered the crawl and has moved on to the pulling up stage. He cruises along the furniture which makes me nervous when his little feet get all tangled and down he goes. Blake has also discovered how to do a rainbow as we like to call it. He is flat footed while his hands are on the ground. He LOVES doing SO BIG but only for Olivia and I, he just giggles when Victor says it. My two new favorite things that Blake is doing is looking under things with his bum in the air and the controlled sit. He definitely keeps us laughing with his very sunny disposition! Oh yeah and check out his SIX teeth! nine months...whoo hoo!
Cruising on the couch
pushing Via in the wagon
Look at his expression...he is so proud!
The controlled sit! We are off to LBI for the week, but I also have Olivia's first dentist visit pics to post...I know you are all holding your breath waiting:) Have a good one! I almost forgot I absolutely love when Blake crawls around carrying something in his hand or mouth! Too precious...okay now I am done.

Box Fun

Olivia had taken over this box quite some time ago. We colored on it with markers, cut windows with panes, made a roof and a welcome mat, and put windows in the doors so she can see you is knocking. Well, Blake has newly discovered this little gem in our dining room. It is the cutest thing to see him motor on over, bang on the door and crawl on in. Olivia has been open to his visits and actually lets him go in by himself...sometimes!

I am just saying...

that if you give your kid a mohawk, you are giving him full regard to be a douchebag. Now let me start by saying, when Blake gets out of the pool or bath we always make his little tuft of hair into a mohawk, so I am not against the mohawk maybe just this particular kid. That being said, there is this 5 year old kid at the pool that his parents have shaved his beautiful locks into a full on mohawk, and then I observe him being a complete d-bag to all the other kids in the pool. Now maybe he has been a d-bag his entire life (5 years) and maybe the mohawk just adds to it, but when I see him tripping and drowning other kids in the pool with a big smile on his face I am not sure. Then the icing on the cake, he makes farting noises with his armpit. So that being said, when Blake begs for a mohawk in a few years, I will most definitley remember Luke from the pool.

BBQ'S, BABYSITTING, BIRTHDAYS AND BAPTISMS!..OH MY!

So starting on Wednesday we had our biweekly friends bbq that we hosted. Unfortunatley, due to rain, Olivia and I brought everything outside, then inside, then out again and finally we ended up in the house. The bbq's have grown so significantly in the past few years. We started out with two kids and 10 adults and are now up to the same 10 adults with 9 kids!

The Ladies...Ava, Kiera, Olivia, and Gabriella On Thursday my mother dropped off the Jacobus clan so that she could go to a meeting at the stables. So my nephew Kelly (who is 14) helped me watch Cole and Alexis (5 month twins), Jared (2), Olivia (3 1/2), and Blake (8 months). By the grace of God, Blake took a marathon 3 hour nap and I got Cole and Lexi to stop screaming long enough to take a few cute pics. We wouldn't have survived without Kelly who held Lexi the entire time while I held Cole!

Then Saturday it was off to Little Ferry for Baby Michael Greco's first birthday! The kids were so well behaved and napped in the car. Blake took a liking to a balloon set up and crawled around with them attached to him the entire party!

Balloon Fun!
Trying to get Victor to put him down!
Dazed and Confused

Happy Birthday Mikey!

3 out of 4 ain't bad!
It was also Uncle Reid's birthday on Saturday and Olivia was quite upset that there was no party planned. So after Little Ferry and a quick trip to the mall for a gift it was up to Auntie Jo Jo's for some birthday cupcakes for Uncle Reid.
Seriously am I still blogging?? Sunday brought Jared, Cole and Lexi's baptism. It was a gorgeous day with a wonderful ceremony and party to follow. Another long day in the car but the kids were troopers even though Victor and I were absolutely shot!
So much love
The twins, oh wait that's Poppy and Blake

Happy Fourth of July!

New Providence decided to not celebrate this year (or last) so we had to jump on Summit's celebrations! They had jumping castles, pony rides, old timer bands, a train ride and of course food. Olivia had a great time waiting on line for the pony and then decided she didn't want to ride when it was her turn. I found out later that she wanted the "teeny tiny pony" and since it wasn't next in rotation, no ride for Olivia. I know it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind but a) Olivia didn't tell Victor that and b) isn't she only three?? All in all it was a fun day and then we celebrated further when the Slattery's came over for a BBQ. Poor Blake had to wait on all the lines but didn't get to go on any rides!
hanging in the pack and play

Too much excitement
for Olivia too:)
Going up the big slide all by herself, what a big girl!
Where'd she go?
Is there anything finer than Dora ice cream? I think having Victor home for three whole days is a close second:)
